Psy returns with new single 'Daddy'
Cover you ears unless you want to have the latest catchy tune stuck in your head for the next few months – yes, Korean pop star Psy is back, with a new track to rival his biggest hit “Gangnam Style”.
Psy has released a track called “Daddy” which features CL of 2NE1 and it’s bound to be the latest song to get you busting some moves at a party.
With lyrics “Hey, where’d you get that body from?” “I got it from my daddy” as the main hook of the song, it’s clear to see that this is a stereotypical Psy track although personally I didn’t find the song itself as annoying as the monster hit “Gangnam Style”.
The track has of course been teamed up with a bonkers and quite frankly bizarre video, which features the K-Pop star as different versions of himself. Psy superimposes himself onto the bodies of a baby, a hairy dance teacher and old men, and has the female species falling at his feet throughout. Of course, the video wouldn’t be complete without crazy dance moves, soon to be seen at the next school disco/office party! CL also features briefly.
Psy also treated us to a second single, “Napal Baji” (roughly translating to “Bell Bottoms” in Korean). The video is seventies inspired and Psy is seen taking on some more crazy moves, inspired by his K-Pop roots.
To top it all off, the entertainer has also released an album, Psy 7th Album, which perhaps surprisingly features mega superstars Ed Sheeran and will.i.am! Take a listen for yourself.
Check out the video for “Daddy” below – as it stands, it’s had over 14 million views!
