Jussie Smollett Allegedly Visited Bathhouse With Nigerian-American Brother Implicated In Hate-Crime

New reports revealed that Jussie Smollett and his supposed attacker, Ambimbola “Abel” Osundairo, visited a Chicago bathhouse, suggesting that Jussie and Abel might’ve had more than a platonic relationship. According to a source who spoke with Page Six, Abel and Jussie used to hang out a lot together.

The source alleged that Abel and Jussie had a “sexual relationship,” and they would often go to a Chicago bathhouse that required ID and registration. Reportedly, it’s a place where a lot of upper-class, gay, black men go to hang out.

An insider who spoke with the aforementioned publication claimed there might be a record of their visits on account of the necessary registration for entrance. The insider alleged there was a possibility some of the bathhouse’s records would be subpoenaed in Jussie’s upcoming trial.

Ola and Abel have both denied they are gay, and also filed a lawsuit against Jussie’s attornies, Mark Geragos and Tina Glandian, this past year for defamation. Reportedly, the two men filed a suit for defamation after the Empire actor’s lawyers insinuated there was a sexual relationship between the men.

The two Nigerian-Americans claim the gay insinuation was particularly harmful due to their background. In Nigeria, the country has outlawed homosexuality and it’s punishable by up to 14 years in prison. If the man is married, it’s punishable by stoning.

Gloria Schmidt, Abel and Ola’s attorney, released a statement claiming that both of her clients had sat back and watched “lie after lie being fabricated” for the sake of verifying Jussie’s fake story.

This past month, the defamation suit was dismissed, however, Smollett has since continued his fight against the allegation that he played a role in his own attack.

As it was previously reported, Jussie came under considerable controversy at the beginning of 2019 when he claimed he was a victim of a hate crime. After the police turned their attention toward the Empire alum and pressed formal charges, Jussie pled not guilty and claimed he paid them $3,500 for drugs and not to stage the purported hate-crime.
