Jess Glynne claims her seventh UK number one with 'I'll Be There'

Jess Glynne has ended Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa’s eight week run at the top of the UK singles chart with her latest track, ‘I’ll Be There’.

This is Jess’ seventh UK number one single, and extends her record for the most number one singles by a British female artist. The songstress previously broke the record when ‘These Days’, her collaboration with Rudimental, Macklemore and Dan Caplen, became her sixth chart topper. Her other number one singles include: ‘Rather Be’ with Clean Bandit, ‘My Love’ with Route 94, ‘Hold My Hand’, ‘Not Letting Go’ with Tinie Tempah, and ‘Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself’.

Speaking to OfficialCharts.com, Jess said: “I’m speechless! all I can say is thank you to everyone who has supported the song. I find it incredibly insane that I hold a record for the most Number 1s for a British female. It’s insane to think I’ve achieved that so early in my career. It’s not just me on all those songs – I have to thank everybody I’ve collaborated with.”

Jess faced a tough battle this week as Clean Bandit and Demi Lovato’s ‘Solo’ ended up at number two, with only 898 sales and streams separating them. Elsewhere on the chart, Anne-Marie’s ‘2002’ remains at number three, whilst George Ezra’s ‘Shotgun’ climbed to number four. Ariana Grande’s ‘No Tears Left To Cry’ rounds off the top five.

Post Malone’s ‘Better Now’ climbs one place to number six, with Calvin and Dua’s ‘One Kiss’ settling for number seven this week. Tom Walker’s ‘Leave a Light On’ climbs to number eight whilst Cardi B, Bad Bunny and J Balvin are at nine with ‘I Like It’. This week’s top ten is completed by David Guetta and Sia’s ‘Flames’.
