Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach Are Officially Married After 12 Years of Dating
As if 2023 couldn’t get any better for Greta Gerwig (lest you forget the mega-success that was Barbie), the actress decided to solidify the year as one of her best by finally tying the knot with her longtime boyfriend, Noah Baumbach.
According to a representative for Gerwig, who confirmed the news to People, the couple recently got married after 12 years of dating. A separate source told the publication that Gerwig and Baumbach wed at New York City Hall, although few additional details about the ceremony are currently known.
Greta and Noah first met while filming their 2010 film Greenberg (which Baumbach directed and co-wrote with his then-wife, Jennifer Jason Leigh), before going on to date in 2011. Prior to tying the knot, the couple also welcomed two sons together in 2019 and 2023.
While Gerwig tends to keep their children out of the spotlight, she did make some rare comments about motherhood when talking to Elle UK back in July.
“He’s a little Schmoo,” she said of her youngest son at the time. “I don’t know if you can tell energy from the picture, but that’s very much his energy. He’s a wise little baby.“
“The little guy is sleeping through the night. But I'm still doing that thing where I wake up, every hour to 90 minutes, and just hover," she shared. "You just keep wanting to look at that baby. So I'm slightly in a twilight state.”
The two kiddos aren't the couple's only collaboration, though. Gerwig and Baumbach have also worked together on Barbie, Frances Ha, Mistress America, and White Noise.
