Angelina Jolie Gets Surprisingly Candid In New Interview Amid Claims That Brad Pitt Pressured

Angelina Jolie is currently promoting her new film Maleficent 2: Mistress of Evil with her co-stars Elle Fanning and Michelle Pfeiffer. And, during a recent interview, Jolie opened up about how difficult the past four years have been for her as her marriage to Brad Pitt ended and the exes went through a nasty divorce and custody battle.

While speaking to Justin Sylvester, the host of Daily Pop on E!, Jolie said that even though some people describe the Maleficent character as cold and evil, she believes the character is “wild,” and there is something in all of us that is “not safe and not fine.” She added that this is the part of us that “wants to just have fun and be our best self.”

Jolie then went on to explain that there have been times in her life that she hasn’t hidden from the public where she has not “felt free,” “safe,” or “free of harm.”

“I have felt small. I have felt cornered. And it has taken a lot to find that again, probably more of that today than I was in the last four years,” explained the mom of six.

Back in August, Jolie admitted that the last few years haven’t been easy, and she hasn’t felt very strong, but she had to push herself. The 44-year-old said that it was her six children – Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox – who helped her “rediscover” herself because they aren’t little kids anymore.

“When your children are little you feel more ‘mommy.’ When they are teenagers you start to remember yourself as a teenager,” said Jolie. “You see them going to punk clubs and you wonder why you can’t go. I’m in this fun moment where I’m rediscovering myself.”

Jolie’s revelations come as a new report claims that the actress will “never get married again” because Pitt “pressured her” to tie the knot. Jolie and Pitt were together for eight years when they exchanged vows in 2014, and Jolie has been married three times.

Pitt and Jolie are still finalizing their divorce, but a judge did declare them legally single again back in April with a bifurcated judgment.
